Android 14 beta version is here! Google released the first public beta for the upcoming Android update last month, if you want to experience the new changes Google is bringing to Android, you can now do that!

Many of the features were for developers, so you won’t necessarily take advantage of them as an end-user. However, you may notice them appear in the apps and services you use now.

Several features from the new back arrow and gesture sync, allowing different languages per app and it’s also going to help in app to software connectivity.

How to install the Android 14 beta on your device

warning: Beta software is software in testing, and you shouldn’t expect a stable experience when using it. Because of that, it’s not recommended to install beta software on your primary device, since there may be bugs or other issues that disrupt your ability to use your phone. If you do install the Android 14 beta, properly back up your device before going forward.

The easiest way to install Android 14 on your phone is to enroll it in the Android Beta program. Right now, that’s only available for compatible Pixel devices, including:

  • Pixel 4a (5G)
  • Pixel 5 and 5a
  • Pixel 6 and 6 Pro
  • Pixel 6a
  • Pixel 7 and 7 Pro

In conclusion, this beta has some interesting features and properties, but they are mainly for developers and if you’re a regular user it’s highly likely that you don’t need this update at all.
