SHIPMENT DELAYS | UPDATE

Posted by Mbuyoti M on 7th Oct 2021

As Christmas fast approaches, the rate of shopping among Zambians and others skyrockets. Online shopping is becoming one of the most common ways Zambians use to shop. The increased rate in shopping among customers, although great for the market, has quite a number of undesirable effects on the market itself and most importantly, the shipping industry. One of the undesirable and unsatisfying things that occurs after placing an order is late delivery. The occurrence of late product delivery jumps to almost 50% between the months of Mid September to December.

Three major causes of late deliveries include

- A product being out of stock. The manufactures do their best to have these products back in stock.

- Less cargo flights against more goods. Airlines usually are always unprepared for this period. This leads to many goods being stuck at departure or transit airports longer than usual.

- Increased surveillance at departure, transit and final delivery airports. The procedures of clearance might take longer.

With all this being said, we'd like to inform our clients that the likelihood of late deliveries in this period is up by 50%. This can range from 1 week to 2 weeks after the stated delivery period in the product descriptions. However we'll still work with you and give you all the necessary information you need until delivery is made. If you plan on shopping for a future event, we advise that you do it now to avoid being inconvenienced.

We'd like to thank all our customers for the support this far. Your support helps us become better and offer efficient services.

We'd also like to sincerely apologize to all our customers who have been impacted by the late deliveries. Thank you for your support and for being understanding
