Airtags “keep track of anything you can lose?”

Airtags are in simplest terms small disk-like devices that you can put on anything to track or pinpoint where they are to avoid losing them. You can attach them to basically anything from your wallet to your Airpods, keys, and several other objects. You just attach them and go into your find my app or say Siri “find my….” Then it’ll start to make a sound and hopefully, it’s in close enough range for you to hear it and you’ll find it.

The way it works is the tag will send out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by any device on the find my network. Not just your personal devices but any device that’s connected to the network can detect an Airtag and communicate anonymously. It's all encrypted and secure so the other device won't even know that it’s doing it.

There are millions of devices on this network so basically, almost anywhere you leave the tag there’s a moderate to high chance that it’ll be detected, and you’ll be able to find it.

If you have an iPhone with the U1 chip you can use precession finding which will direct, you to the tag using advanced GPS and gyro. Where there is a visual and haptic guide that aids you in locating your tag.

You might wonder whether people unknowingly place an Airtag and track you without your consent?

Apple has already got the solution to that. The Airtag will be sensed by your device then you’ll receive a notification alerting you about it then if you don’t dismiss it the tag will begin to alert you via sound.

The battery is supposed to last a year to a year and a half and can be easily replaced! And it has an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance and can be submerged into about 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. They can even be personalized with emojis via the apple site.

Airtags have grown more popular than other “track you object” type of devices because of how simple they are to set up. You don’t need an app or to register anything all you have to do is bring it close to your iPhone and it’ll pair then you simply name it and you’re done!

They are amazing but they do have some features that need to be improved so that they can be better than their top competitors like TILE. Which include:

- receive a pop-up notification as soon as an unknown tile is placed on you

- better GPS when in highly populated areas or areas with a lot of distractions

- being able to change how often the tag pings

In conclusion, they have an amazing concept and product already. you could get your very own Airtag on our website today and keep track of your various items!
